After three years of groundwork, York’s Schulich School of Business has achieved their goal of expanding to India.
Schulich has officially signed an agreement with GMR Group—a major infrastructure company in India—to build a campus in Hyderabad, India.
The goal of the extended campus, according to Schulich dean Dezsö Horváth, is to provide first-rate facilities with an international faculty along with an international curriculum.

The Hyderabad campus will offer its MBA program to 120 students in India along with executive education programs. They will eventually present programs in executive education, executive MBA, and post-MBA diplomas in advanced management.
“The Indian economy is one of the fastest growing in the world,” says third-year Schulich student Katya Bodganov. “This makes sense for Schulich to be present in this vibrant environment. This will enhance the availability of talent globally, diversify Schulich’s student body.”
The groundbreaking is set for July 2011. Predicted to span about 15 acres, the Hyderabad campus is scheduled to open in September 2013.
