Men’s soccer
York vs. Waterloo (3–0)

After a goal by York Lions rookie, Charlie Trafford, the York Lion’s men’s soccer team finished their second game of the season 3–0 against rival team the Waterloo Warriors. The Lions opened the game with an early lead after forwards Alon Badat and Adrian Pena scored a goal each in the first half. The team comes back from playing the Laurier Golden Hawks in their first game of the season, ending the match in a draw 1–1. The team looks forward to their first home game of the season, against the McMaster Marauders.

Women’s soccer
York vs. Waterloo (0–0)

The women’s soccer team completed their second game of the season Sunday, September 4th after a final score of 0–0 ended the game in a tie against the Waterloo Warriors. The two teams battled it out throughout the whole game with neither able to get the upper hand. Good goaltending by York Lion Sarah Fiorini and Waterloo player Lesia Bandura finished the game in a draw. The women’s York Lions soccer team comes back after losing their first game against the Laurier Golden Hawks on September 3. The York Lions will play the McMaster Marauders in the next game at York stadium.
