Daniel Correa, 25, went to court Nov. 16 facing two counts of sexual assault, crimes he allegedly committed just south of York’s Keele campus in the Black Creek Parklands, near Finch Avenue West and Sentinel Road.

Toronto police arrested and charged Correa Nov. 11; he remains a suspect in connection with two other sexual assaults.

According to police, one of the victims was a York student.

The four incidents occurred between September and November. All incidents were reported between 12 p.m. and 7 p.m.

All of the victims were females between the ages of 20 and 25. According to Toronto police, the suspect allegedly stalked his victims and followed them into the wooded area of the park. He would then allegedly approach females by making explicit sexual comments, and then sexually assault them, police said. Police said after Correa assaulted the victims, he would disappear into the forest.

York University’s administration notified students about the sexual assaults Nov. 11 and initiated a campus-wide security alert. Toronto police said they strongly believe more victims are linked to this case.
