Excalibur is keeping the school safe
Libraries give more to the community than just a book to borrow, but a social institution where people go to for free knowledge
Behind the demonstrations, petitions, workshops, and homemade pamphlets are the faces of passionate people who care about what they do. They come together to build a voice, just like how you heard the voice vouch for an endangered campus eatery.
He’s taking away from what our younger generations are going to be experiencing when it comes to what a public library feels like.
Like most people, I have never really been in a fight, caused damage to public property, or vandalized a washroom stall. However, unlike many in Vancouver, I also would never incite a riot.
But c’mon, shouldn’t we be the least bit understanding? Those Canucks fans are showing exactly the hockey passion that we, as Canadians, generally pride ourselves on. Of course when we lose such an important game our reaction isn’t going to be great, and last night’s game was heartbreaking.
It seems the world’s taken the idea for a bit of a walk. From one dumb comment sprang a global movement that shows no signs of stopping. And it all started with that word, “slut”.
